The Technology behind the service

The underlying technology is a research product from the ILSP/ATHENA R.C. Speech Synthesis group.

It is based on sophisticated algorithms and data collected throughout long standing research at ILSP. Its usability has rendered it as one of the most popular online tools of the Greek internet sphere.

Based on statistical models it can robustly identify and convert any type of Greeklish into correct Greek with success rate that exceeds 98%. It incorporates an intermediate language recognition module that help identify Greeklish from non-Greeklish tokens, making it far more usaable and useful than any other similar approach.
